About Ron’s Gun Shop
Ron’s Gun Shop has served Wisconsin firearm owners since 1964. What began as a small shop in Oshkosh has grown through two generations of family ownership, while remaining focused on personal service, practical experience and the kind of straightforward help customers expect from a traditional gun shop.
Our Story
From a Small Oshkosh Shop
Ron’s Gun Shop began in 1964 when Ron Lippold and a business partner opened a small gun shop on the south side of Oshkosh. When that location was sold about a year later, Ron converted a garage into a gun shop and continued the business on his own.
A Permanent Home
As the business grew, Ron purchased property and built a dedicated shop. In 1975, Ron’s Gun Shop moved into the Oshkosh location that remains part of the business today.
The Next Generation
In 2009, Paul Lippold purchased Ron’s Gun Shop from his father and continued the family business. Five years later, the Germantown store opened, bringing the same practical experience and personal service to firearm owners throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

A Traditional Gun Shop
Ron’s Gun Shop combines retail sales with services that have long been part of a full-service gun shop, including firearm repair, refinishing, special orders, transfers and the purchase of individual firearms, collections and estates.
