There are no federal restrictions for anyone to ship us a long arm, or handgun for restoration, as long as you are the legal owner of the firearm, shipping it from your residence. However, there are certain states, and/or regions that may have restrictions on the mailing of firearms. It is your responsibility to make certain you are following all local, state, and Federal regulations when shipping firearms to R.G.S. Restorations, Inc.
One of the easiest ways to ship a long arm or handgun is to purchase a plastic foam lined hard case, and ship the gun inside of that. Find a cardboard box for your plastic hard case to fit in, and your ready. Whatever type of packaging you use, make sure the gun, or parts do not move around inside the packaging!
